India’s first musical road has started on the Mumbai Coastal Road corridor in Maharashtra. CM Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated it on 11 February. When driving at a fixed speed on this road, the tune of ‘Jai Ho’ is heard.

In Mumbai, when you move from Nariman Point towards Worli on the North Side, about half a kilometer ahead of the tunnel, when you drive at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour, the song from the film ‘Jai Ho’ will play in your car. Let us tell you that India has become the 5th country in the world, where there is a Musical Road. It first started in Japan in 2007. Then engineer Shizuo Shinoda discovered this sound effect while working on the road with a bulldozer. Later such roads were also built in Hungary, South Korea and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to reports, BMC has installed musical strips on this road at a cost of Rs 6.21 crore, which emit a special tune when the vehicle passes. This project has been completed by a Hungarian company. It is being told that this music is so loud that it can be heard clearly even inside a closed vehicle. Such roads are also known as ‘Melody Road’ all over the world.
