In order to fulfill this dream, he had raised 30 lakh rupees by borrowing from his entire grooming as well as in-laws, brothers and other relatives. All this amount and their jewelry were kept at home in a trunk.

The devastating flood in Thunag Bazaar on the night of 30 June shed everything. Murari Lal’s house, market and the most tragic, the trunk that had his lifetime of earnings and borrowings, got involved in water and debris. Tears in the eyes, only one pair of clothes on the body

But the flood on the black night of June 30 took away everything.” They say that that night they had only the clothes left they were wearing, and only Rs 650 in the pocket. His daughter Lokesha, wife Roshni and Murari Lal – all three now have only one pair of clothes left. Everything else is lost in water and debris. Roshni Devi, who is also a teacher herself, is completely broken by this tragedy. She says, “We are teachers, show the way to others. But today they are in the dark. Everything is over in a moment. Now there is neither home, nor money nor any clear direction of the future.”
A ray of hope

She hopes that perhaps someday someone will tell them that their trunk has been found, and their home will be able to be made again.
