New Delhi: Ireland captain Paul Stirling took a sensational diving catch during his side’s second match of the T20 World Cup 2026 against Australia at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday, February 11. He pulled off a superb diving catch at cover to dismiss the dangerous Josh Inglis during Australia’s innings.
The dismissal took place on the fifth delivery of the seventh over when Inglis was going all guns blazing in the middle, having scored 37 runs off 17 balls with the help of six boundaries and a maximum.
George Dockrell bowled a length delivery, which gripped into the surface and arrived slightly late. Inglis was in two minds and ended up chipping the ball towards cover, where Stirling dived to his right and took a stunning catch.
