Sikandar Raza rises to top in T20I all-rounder rankings; Sahibzada Farhan up to third in batting list

New Delhi: Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has risen to the top spot of the latest ICC Men’s T20I all-rounder rankings after his team’s strong start to the T20 World Cup 2026 campaign.

The African nation recorded a commanding eight-wicket win over Oman in their opening match in Colombo, and Raza was a key performer in the win with both ball and bat.

The all-round performance helped the Zimbabwe legend regain the top spot on the list for T20I all-rounders.

Raza picked up 1/17 from four overs to help restrict Oman to just 103 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, and during the chase, hit the winning runs to give his side a perfect start in the T20 showpiece event.

Raza, Bennett make big gains

Raza rose one place to move past Pakistan opener Saim Ayub into the top position, returning to the summit for the first time after reigning supreme during the backend of last year.

Besides Raza, his teammate Brian Bennett also made a big gain on the latest rankings update. Bennett benefited in the rankings for T20I batters following his eye-catching innings of 48 not out against Oman.

Bennett jumped to a new career-high rating, moving up two spots to 19th on the list for T20I batters. Meanwhile, Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan jumped four spots to third in the batting charts after his swashbuckling innings of 73 against the USA.

India opener Abhishek Sharma maintains the top spot in the T20I batter rankings ahead of England’s Phil Salt. New Zealand’s Tim Seifert (up one place to eighth) and Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis (up six spots to 12th) also made significant gains. Meanwhile, India’s Ishan Kishan jumped seven spots to 25th following a decent outing in the home T20I series against New Zealand.
