Mumbai: Rajpal Yadav’s family is gearing up for a wedding in the household, with hopes of him being at the ceremony. Rajpal’s brother, Shripal Yadav, shared that his daughter’s wedding was scheduled for February 19th. He also stated that the family is confident to see Rajpal at the wedding despite his current circumstances.
The actor and comedian surrendered at Tihar Jail in a cheque-bounce case. Rajpal was taken into custody after the Delhi High Court rejected his plea for more time to clear the dues of about Rs 9 crore in the cheque-bouncing case. The legal trouble dates back to 2010 when Rajpal borrowed money from Murali Projects Pvt Ltd.
The actor’s family said that he was trying to get a release by proving that funds were borrowed for investments and not as loans.
Speaking to NDTV, Rajpal’s brother stated, “We have full faith that he will come out tomorrow. Our daughter’s wedding is also taking place at home, and preparations are underway. I don’t know which journalist came here feeling dissatisfied and said there’s sadness in the house. Hey, how can there be sadness where 50 labourers are working, and we’re all busy? It was noon, the labourers must have been eating, and no one was found at home. He must have taken a photo to show that there’s sadness in the house.”
The brother added that everyone at home is looking forward to celebrating the joyous occasion with Rajpal.
He added, “There’s no disappointment at home. We’re working with full enthusiasm, and we know he’ll come tomorrow, and we’ll celebrate the wedding with full festivities. There are no such problems at all. Of course, since he’s the main attraction, his presence at the wedding is crucial. We’re praying to God that he’ll come out tomorrow.”
