Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty on The Great Indian Kapil Show
Netflix India shared the teaser of their episode and wrote, “Do bhai, dono tabahi. Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty are arriving this Funnyvaar. Watch them this Saturday, on The Great Indian Kapil Show, at 8pm, only on Netflix.” Both veterans are making their debut on the Netflix show with Kapil Sharma.
In the promo, Sanjay talks about how he told his father, actor Sunil Dutt, that he wanted to join Bollywood. While Suniel hilariously told a story of how Sanjay, affectionately known as Sanju Baba, broke down his hotel room door to spend time with him.
Kapil asks the two friends to rate themselves as husbands. While Sanjay gives himself a 10 out of 10, Suniel says he would be a 7 or 8 out of 10. He explained, “See, jab career ke peak mein hotey hai na, kaam hum itna karte hai, ki we miss out. Ek husband ko, ek mard ko, kaam karna padta hai and he is not able to give that much time to the family. Main time ko bohot ahmiyat deta hoon. Aapko time ki ahmiyat bhi tab samajh mein aata hai jab aapki beti ki shaadi ho jaati hai. Jaise abhi main grandfather bana hoon toh, when I see Athiya as a mother, mujhe yeh mehsoos hota hai ki yaar Mana (his wife) ne kitna kiya hoga, jab ki main kaam kar raha tha!”
[When my career was at a peak and I was working a lot, I missed out. As a husband, a man has to work and cannot give enough time to family. I give importance to time, and I realised it’s true meaning when your daughter gets married. When I became a grandfather and saw Athiya as a mother, I felt that my wife Mana did so much when I worked.]
Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda and Sunil Grover entertain the guests with their characters. Sanjay and Suniel’s episode will air on September 6 at 8 pm on Netflix.
