New Delhi: A Lamborghini ploughed into pedestrians and rammed an auto-rickshaw and several two-wheelers, resulting in six people injured on the VIP Road in the Gwaltoli area, Kanpur, on Monday, February 9. Moments later, footage from the spot revealed that the bouncers were seen pulling a man from the driver’s seat, who was later identified as Shivam Mishra, the son of tobacco tycoon KK Mishra.
However, in recent progress, Mishra’s lawyer stated that Shivam was not driving the car. “Shivam was not driving; his driver, Mohan, was. This is an accident case. Since he was not driving, there can be no case against him,” said lawyer Mrityunjay Kumar in the courtroom, NDTV reported.

Victims have alleged that the police were lenient on Mishra due to the family’s influence. Initially, the FIR was registered against an unidentified person, despite eyewitnesses and site footage confirming Shivam’s involvement in the accident. Hours later, his name was added to the FIR.
Commissioner of Police Ragubir Lal took action against the officer-in-charge of the Gwaltoli police station, Santosh Kumar Gaur, who was sent to the police line on prima facie evidence of negligence. The action was taken against Gaur after Shivam’s video surfaced on social media.
“He failed to follow due procedure after the accident. The lapse amounts to negligence, and immediate action has been taken,” said Commissioner of Police Raghubir Lal.

In a crowded place, an Italian luxury sports car crashed into an auto-rickshaw and then several stationary two-wheelers, tossing its rider about 10 feet into the air.
One of the injured eyewitnesses, Sonu Tripathi, confirmed that he and his cousin were standing near their motorcycle when the Lamborghini hit them.
Tensions escalated after bouncers were accused of pushing the crowd back to rescue Shivam. The car had a Delhi registration plate, and now it has been seized and sent for a mechanical inspection.
