According to media reports, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam has requested Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to withdraw the boycott of the match against India to be held on February 15 in the 2026 T20 World Cup. This appeal was made during the discussions held in Lahore on Sunday, in which International Cricket Council Vice President and Imran Khawaja were also present. According to reports, Aminul Islam discussed this issue and tried to convince Pakistan to play the match.
Let us tell you, this controversy started when Bangladesh refused to play their matches in India, due to which ICC removed them from the tournament and included Scotland in their place. After which Pakistan, showing solidarity with Bangladesh, had decided to boycott its group match against India.
