FIFA to sell pieces of World Cup final stadium pitch: FIFA is often known for its historic decisions and promoting football at the global level. But this time, this biggest organization of football has come up with such a unique way of earning, which has surprised the fans all over the world. FIFA has announced that it is going to sell in pieces the grass of the field of the 2026 World Cup final match to be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19. If you want to take home a part of the ground that witnessed this historic moment in football history, then you will have to pay a heavy price for it.

Lakhs of rupees will have to be spent for piece of the pitch

This ‘Piece of the Pitch’ has been made available for sale in four different categories on the official digital store of FIFA. Not more than 2,026 pieces will be available for sale in any one category. The prices of these categories have been kept at $450, $900, $1,200 and the price of premium version has been kept at $3,000. Its starting price in Indian money is Rs 43,000 and its most premium version costs around Rs 3 lakh.

The inaugural edition features a small piece of the actual grass from the final match preserved inside a premium acrylic frame. Along with this, the buyer will also be given a digital USB keepsake and a premium box. Whereas, the premium edition box will contain a 3×3 inch piece of grass. Along with this, a replica ticket engraved in gold, a small replica of the World Cup football and a crystal-cut World Cup trophy will also be available.

Who will be able to buy this grass?

The interesting thing is that the final match is yet to take place, hence FIFA will prepare this product by cutting the grass of the field only after the match is over. This is the reason why its delivery to the buyers will be given only after the final match. Apart from this, FIFA has also made it clear that due to security and logistics, this grass can be delivered only to addresses in America and Europe.
