A first year law student shot his classmate Sandeep Kaur in Tarn Taran, Punjab. Within a short time he shot himself with the same pistol. The student died on the spot, while the condition of the accused is critical.
Law Student Shot Dead by Classmate: On Monday, February 9, in Tarn Taran district of Punjab, a first year law student shot his own classmate. After this the accused also shot himself with the same weapon. The student died on the spot, while the accused has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. The entire incident was captured in CCTV camera.
Identification of the deceased and the accused
The deceased student has been identified as Sandeep Kaur, who was a resident of Nowshera Pannuan. The name of the accused student has been stated as Prince Raj, who is a resident of Mallian village of Jalandhar district. Both were first year law students in the same college.
The incident came to light in CCTV footage
According to CCTV footage, Prince Raj entered the classroom around 9:15 am and passed by Sandeep Kaur. He asked something from Sandeep, to which he did not get any answer. After this she went out of the classroom. Raj went after her and during this time another classmate, who is yet to be identified, tried to intervene between the two. Despite this the situation could not be controlled.
Bullet fired inside the classroom
Further in the video, it is seen that a third classmate takes Raj and Sandeep towards the back of the classroom. Sandeep and another student sit on the last bench, while Raj sits in front. After some time, Raj takes out a pistol from his bag and shoots Sandeep Kaur. After this he walks a few steps and shoots himself.
The condition of the accused is critical, investigation continues
Immediately after the incident, the accused was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police are investigating the matter and the entire incident is being investigated on the basis of CCTV footage.
