New Delhi: A well-known social media influencer, Chinnu Pappu, was found dead on Wednesday afternoon in Kasaragod. The body was found hanging in a rented quarters sending shockwaves through her online community and hometown of Adoor. The 24-year-old was rushed to the hospital but she was declared dead by the time she was taken to the hospital.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving the information and carried out the preliminary examination. Officials said there were no signs of foul play at the scene. As per the initial findings, the police have concluded that it was a case of suicide, though the investigation is still ongoing.
Body found in rented quarters
According to police sources, the incident took place around noon. Chinnu Pappu was found hanging inside his rented accommodation. During the incident, the rope reportedly snapped, causing her to fall.
After completing the inquest proceedings, the body was shifted for postmortem examination. Police said the body will be handed over to the family after the procedure is completed.
Police cite mental distress
Preliminary inquiries suggest that Chinnu Pappu was dealing with personal and family-related issues. Investigators believe mental distress may have led to the extreme step. “At this stage, we are treating it as suicide linked to personal reasons,” a police officer said, adding that more clarity would emerge after the postmortem and further questioning.
A case has been registered and police are examining her phone and other personal belongings as part of the probe.

Chinnu Pappu was an active and popular presence on social media, particularly on Instagram, where he had over two lakh followers. Known for his engaging content, his sudden death has led to an outpouring of grief from fans and fellow creators, many of whom expressed disbelief and sorrow online.
Police have urged the public to avoid speculation as the investigation continues.
