A tech professional got a divorce for not quitting his job. Her in-laws wanted her to leave her career to take care of her ailing mother-in-law. The woman’s advances were rejected, leading to the end of the relationship following harassment.

Their love started during their plus two studies. Later, they did B.Tech together and started jobs in ‘Tech Mahindra’ at the same time. Later, both of them changed companies, progressed in their careers together, got married and even bought their own house. they have two children. The hard-working woman never took time off from work except for her pregnancy leave. After the second delivery, she learned new technology and started earning more than her husband in her career.
Problems began when the husband’s mother fell ill. The husband and his family started insisting that the woman leave her job and take care of her mother-in-law. But the woman was not ready to give up her career. Instead, he suggested a way. She will continue to work and will also take full financial responsibility of the household. In return, the husband should take a break from his career and take care of his mother. She said that she had already taken a break during the delivery. This time the husband should take a break from job. She even agreed to bring her mother home to help.
But, the husband and his family rejected these suggestions of the woman. The husband’s mother said that it was not right for the girl’s mother to come to her son’s house. They forgot that the woman had also given money to buy the house. She insisted that it was only a woman’s responsibility to leave her job in difficult times. Even when the woman asked to hire someone to take care, they did not listen. When the woman did not agree, she faced severe mental harassment.
Unable to bear this harassment, the woman went to her maternal home with her children. From there also she told that she is ready to take care of her husband’s mother, but the husband sent a divorce notice. Eventually, the woman also filed for divorce.
