Snake reached Shiva temple on Monday, devotees started worshiping

White cobra seen in Shiva temple of Telangana

There are still a few days left for the arrival of Sawan, but today on Monday such a scene was seen in a Shiva temple, which has shocked the devotees. Actually, there is an ancient Sambamurthy temple located in Rachapalli village of Dharmaram mandal of Peddapalli district of Telangana. A rare incident happened in this Shiva temple itself. A white cobra emerged in front of the idols of Lord Shiva and Nagadevta in the sanctum sanctorum of the Shiva temple, surprising the devotees.

When the temple priests reached the sanctum sanctorum to perform the daily puja, they saw a white cobra lying peacefully in front of the idols of Nagadevata. The priests were shocked at first, but later when the snake remained calm and did not cause any harm, they informed the temple administrators.

Devotees compete to see the white cobra

As soon as information about this matter was received, people from Rachapalli and surrounding villages gathered in the temple and competed to have the darshan of Shwetanaag. A large number of people reached the temple. Hundreds of devotees performed special prayers in the temple and had darshan of Shwetanaag. The temple complex was packed with devotees. This incident has become a topic of discussion at the local level.

Devotees believe that it is very auspicious to see a white snake in the Sambamurthy temple on Monday. At the same time, some people say that to avoid any kind of trouble from the snake, one should be careful and maintain distance from it. Devotees worshiped the white cobra considering it as a deity. Actually, the snake is the ornament around the neck of Lord Shiva. The name of the serpent wrapped around the neck by Bholenath is Vasuki. He is called the king of snakes. Lord Shiva, pleased with his devotion to Vasuki and his contribution during the churning of the ocean, placed him as an ornament around his neck.

Snake rescued from temple

Here, the administration was informed to catch the white cobra from the temple. After receiving the information, a snake catcher named Kiran reached the spot. He successfully rescued the sanctum cobra with great skill. After the cobra was caught safely, the temple priests congratulated the rescuer.
