Gautam Gambhir hosts dinner for Team India: After the spectacular victory over USA in the T20 World Cup 2026, Indian team head coach Gautam Gambhir invited the entire team for dinner at his home in Delhi. India played the first match of the tournament against America at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where the team won by 29 runs under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. Gambhir welcomed the team which reached Delhi a day after the victory, at his home, the video of which is going viral on social media.

This is the second time that Gambhir has invited Team India for dinner. Earlier, he had also hosted a dinner party at his home for the Test team led by Shubman Gill before the Delhi match against West Indies. However, this time a special sight was also seen. Gautam Gambhir reached home before the team in a personal car and then the entire team came for the dinner party by bus. Actually, Gambhir did this to personally welcome the players, coaching staff and support staff. During this time his wife and children were also present.

It is believed that the purpose of this dinner is to strengthen team bonding and boost morale in the team. Between the celebration of victory and the preparation for the upcoming matches, this small event was very special for the players. The team will now face Namibia on 12 February at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After this, there are matches against Pakistan in Colombo on 15 February and Netherlands in Ahmedabad on 18 February.
Batting wobbled against USA
India won against USA, but was in trouble in the beginning while batting first in the match. But Suryakumar played a explosive inning of 84 not out and Tilak Verma scored 25 runs in 16 balls. Due to which the Indian team was successful in scoring 161 runs. In bowling, Mohammad Siraj took 3 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs. Whereas, Arshdeep Singh and Akshar Patel took 2-2 wickets. In such a situation, Team India’s focus will be on improving the game and continuing the winning streak.
