In Hyderabad, a police officer made his granddaughter drive his car on a busy road, which caused a traffic jam. People expressed anger when the video of this incident went viral. The police have assured to investigate the matter and take action.
On Gandamguda-Byragiguda Road, a busy road in Hyderabad, a police officer was seen driving his car (TS 07 GP 7450) with his young granddaughter. This action led to a long traffic jam on the road and serious questions were raised regarding traffic rules and road safety. According to eyewitnesses, when the local people saw a minor driving a car and questioned the policeman, instead of accepting his mistake, he started showing arrogance. This enraged the people present there even more.
The video of this incident has gone viral on social media, after which people are demanding action against the policeman. In view of the increasing uproar, Hyderabad City Police has responded to this viral video. He said, “Information about this matter has been given to the SHO of Rajendranagar police station. As per law, necessary action will be taken after investigation.”

Other cases of police brutality
Recently, many more cases related to the misbehavior of policemen have also come to light, which have received a lot of attention and official action has also been taken. In one case, a video went viral from Hamirpur in Uttar Pradesh in which a heated altercation took place between a truck driver and a police sub-inspector. The driver alleged that the officer stole Rs 20,000 from the cabin of his truck. After this the driver chased the police car for about 35 kilometers.
According to reports, when the chase ended near Yamuna Bridge in Hamirpur, the driver caught hold of the officer, allegedly took back money from him, beat him up and then handed him over to the local police. After the video went viral, Hamirpur police informed on social media that action has been taken in this matter.
Another incident is from Gurugram, where a video of a policeman went viral. The allegation is that he was abusing an auto-rickshaw driver because he refused to give him a free ride. This video also sparked debate on misuse of power and the treatment of common working people.
