Speeding Audi kills 3 members of family on bike distributing wedding cards

New Delhi: In a tragic road accident, three members of a family died after an Audi car hit their motorcycle from behind in Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh. The family went out to distribute invitation cards for a family wedding across the Rewa district.

The victims are identified as Bhagwat Vishwakarma, his son Shivam Vishwakarma, and a woman relative, Sheetal Vishwakarma, who were on the motorcycle. Officials confirmed that the invitation cards were for Bhagwat’s elder son’s wedding, which was scheduled for February 24.

From jubilation to desolation, the family met with an accident just 2 km before their house.

A speeding Audi car coming from the Prayagraj side rammed their motorcycle before crashing into the divider, an eyewitness stated. The family was thrown out of their vehicle and died on the spot.

The Audi driver was arrested on the spot, and further investigation is underway by the officials. The bike was completely destroyed after an accident with severe impact.

Bhagwat and his son were residents of Chachai, while Sheetal was from nearby Rathara. Their bodies have been taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa for the post-mortem examination.

Police have informed their family members, and upon receiving the news, they reached the hospital. Visuals showed the mourning relatives waiting at the hospital.
