The pace of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ slowed down in the third week, but the film created a new box office record leaving behind a big superhit film of Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is holding strong at the box office even in the third week. Although after the release of ‘Dhamal 4’, the shows and earnings of the film have been affected, yet it is continuously making new records in its name. On the 16th day of its release, the film registered a spectacular surge and overtook Akshay Kumar’s superhit ‘Rowdy Rathore’, while on the 17th day it remained inches away from being included in Akshay Kumar’s top 10 highest grossing movies. It is believed that it will achieve this position with Monday’s earnings.
Welcome To The Jungle Box Office: How much did the film collect on the 17th day?
According to trade reports, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ collected a net collection of around Rs 1.90 crore on the 17th day of its release i.e. the third Sunday. This is an increase of about 18.7 percent compared to the earnings on the 16th day. With this the total Indian net collection of the film reached Rs 133.40 crore. The film earned Rs 95.21 crore in the first week, Rs 33.69 crore in the second week, Rs 1 crore on the 15th day and Rs 1.60 crore on the 16th day.

Did ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ break the record of ‘Rowdy Rathore’?
Yes. With Rs 131.50 crore collected till the 16th day, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ had left behind the lifetime net collection of Rs 131 crore of Akshay Kumar’s superhit film ‘Rowdy Rathore’. This film is now inches away from being included in the list of top 10 highest grossing films of Akshay Kumar’s career.
Will Akshay Kumar now find a place in the top 10 films?
Now ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is eyeing the record of Rs 133.60 crore of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. To beat this, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has to earn only Rs 20 lakh more. Looking at the current trend, it is believed that the film can cross this figure on the 18th day and become included in the top-10 highest grossing films of Akshay Kumar.
