Datia (Madhya Pradesh) [भारत]July 13 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora has expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be victorious in the upcoming Datia by-election. Speaking to ANI about election preparations here on Sunday, Deora said any upcoming meeting will focus on strengthening the party’s election strategy. He said that BJP workers and senior leaders are actively engaged in preparations for the by-elections.
Deora said, “Any upcoming meeting will focus on election preparations and how the Bharatiya Janata Party will win the elections. All our party workers and senior leaders are fully engaged in these preparations.”
BJP has intensified its preparations for Datia by-election, with party leaders and workers working to ensure victory in the region.
Ashutosh Tiwari from BJP, Ghanshyam Singh from Congress are in the fray.
For this high-stakes contest, BJP has fielded Ashutosh Tiwari, while Congress has made Ghanshyam Singh its candidate. Datia assembly seat had fallen vacant on April 2 after the disqualification of Rajendra Bharti. This disqualification was done under the provisions of Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and Article 191(1)(e) of the Constitution.
Voting on 30th July, counting on 3rd August
The Election Commission of India has announced that voting for the Datia Assembly by-election will take place on July 30, while the counting of votes will take place on August 3.
Nomination will be done in the presence of CM Mohan Yadav
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh BJP president Hemant Khandelwal on Sunday said party candidate Ashutosh Tiwari will file his nomination for the Datia Assembly by-election on Monday in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, former state Home Minister Narottam Mishra and thousands of party workers. He expressed confidence that the party will win the by-elections with an “overwhelming majority”.
Khandelwal said that CM Yadav, Narottam Mishra and thousands of BJP workers will participate in the nomination rally.
Khandelwal told reporters here, “Ashutosh ji will file his nomination papers tomorrow. Thousands of workers will participate in the nomination rally along with our Chief Minister and Narottam Mishra ji. Thanks to the hard work of Bharatiya Janata Party workers and the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and our national president Nitin Nabin ji, BJP will win this election with an overwhelming majority.”
He further said, “We have spoken to all the workers. They will all work for the Bharatiya Janata Party, and the party will get an overwhelming majority.” (ANI)
