Danish woman hilariously mistakes Amitabh Bachchan for papad seller, Internet says he also works as coolie

A Danish content creator has gone viral after she confused veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan with the maker of Indian snacks, Bikaji.

In a hilarious video, Frederikke, known as Bhukkad Bidesi on social media, referred to Big B as the “legendary papad guy” and asked for help to get more of his delicious papads.

In the video, she held up a Bikaji papad pack featuring Amitabh Bachchan and said, “This guy makes the best papadum.” She added that she first tasted papad in Nepal and had been craving more ever since-but couldn’t find it in Copenhagen.

“If you know him, let him know how good papadum he makes,” she urged viewers in her Instagram reel. In the caption, she wrote, “Who is this man-and why does he make the BEST papadum I’ve ever had?! I bought this papad back in Nepal and haven’t found it anywhere in Copenhagen. I’m running low… if anyone knows where to get this or who this legendary papad guy is, please help.”

The video has left Indian netizens in splits, sparking a flood of sarcastic replies.

“He’s been a coolie (porter at railway stations ) since 1983,” joked one user, referencing Bachchan’s film Coolie.

Another added, “He also gives polio drops. I’m alive today because of him.”

Some played along: “He personally hand rolls each papad in his Mumbai mansion. Real artisanal stuff.” Others referenced his other quirky endorsements and fictional roles.

“He also used to grow basmati rice at India Gate, New Delhi,” one said.

Another wrote, “Wait till you hear about his PVC pipes.”

Someone else even said, “That’s Amitabh Bachchan, he makes amazing Soan papdi too.”

Another quipped, “His daughter in law makes best hair dye and anti ageing cream called L’Oréal.”

While referring to Big B’s role in Sooryavansham, one person said, “He also owns a transport company ‘Bhanupratap Bus Service’.”

Jokes aside, fans appreciated the influencer’s love for Indian snacks – and her unintentional comedy gold.

At the time of writing, Big B has not responded to his new role as papad king.
