New Delhi: Amaal Mallik, the popular music composer from Bigg Boss 19, is heartbroken over ugly fan wars sparked by his new song with co-contestant Farrhana Bhatt.
The singer hasn’t slept for days due to toxic online drama and even wants to scrap the video release. Fans from rival clubs are clashing on X, turning excitement into hate – will this beautiful track ever see the light of day?
Fan wars erupt over song
Music composer Amaal Mallik shared his pain on X after announcing a new song featuring Bigg Boss 19 contestant Farrhana Bhatt. He slammed the “dirty” fan wars among clubs linked to the reality show, which ended last December. Amaal wrote that many fans are still “crying about Bigg Boss losses and who didn’t apologise to who,” stuck in a “reel world instead of the real one.”
The negativity has hit him hard, leaving him sleepless for 10 days and sick before a concert. “I haven’t slept properly for almost 10 days to be able to bring you this song, & today I’ve gotten sick before my concert, it’s all too much,” Amaal confessed in his note. He urged fans not to indulge in mudslinging, saying, “I’m saying it again – if you’re my fan, don’t indulge in mudslinging.”
If my family here on X feel I have hurt them, know that it was never my intention, but it’s hard to figure out who is being true here or anywhere in the world nowadays…IYKYK !

Calls for positivity
Amaal highlighted the song’s importance, noting it could “change so many things for me as an artist and the lives of everyone involved.” Despite preparing for hate, he wanted “positivity all around to enjoy a release after a long time.” Now, he feels like cancelling the video amid the chaos. “But I can’t seem to see it, and I feel like cancelling the song video at this point, just being honest,” he shared.
He addressed his own fandom’s backlash, where some messaged about leaving due to his choices. “I say something, and now I see my own fandom comes to tell me ke yeh kyu,woh kyu (why this, why that)… Guys, we both can have opinions and can agree to disagree!!!” Amaal wrote. He knows “which fan clubs se kaun kya kar raha (who is doing what)” and called out the hate between “our 2 fan clubs.”
Stands firm against trolls
Amaal refused to patrol X daily or defend everyone. “I’m not here to check what each contestant is saying or scrutinise each and everything that xyz fandoms are doing… I speak fearlessly without caring,” he stated. This came a day after he hit back at a fan misquoting his father Daboo Malik’s tweet to troll Farrhana. “All our fans should be able to put this behind us… This is how you treat a girl? … I’m sick of this BB bulls**t negativity,” he had posted.
He ended on a hopeful note: “I pray we all get the love we deserve. Peace out.” Amaal stressed he did his best on the show, apologised where needed, and moved forward with grace. Fans now await whether the song will be released amid this storm.
