Hugh Jackman and his estranged wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, have officially finalised their divorce, just a month after Furness filed to formally end their marriage, E! News reported. The couple had publicly announced their separation in September 2023, marking the end of a 27-year-long relationship that began on the set of an Australian TV series in the mid-90s.
According to legal documents filed in New York on May 23, Furness, 69, indicated that the terms of their divorce had already been settled at the time of filing.
As per documents obtained by the Daily Mail, Furness’ attorney Elena Karabatos filed for the continuation of health care coverage and requested a medical child support order. Additional filings included a proposed judgment of divorce, the New York state child support registry form, and the official certificate of dissolution.
A graceful separation focused on family
Jackman, 56, and Furness first met in 1995 and tied the knot a year later. In their joint statement announcing the separation, they wrote:
“Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth… We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
