Riyan Parag & Mayank Yadav Star as India A Thrash Namibia by 130 Runs in T20 Warm-Up

India A delivered a commanding all-round performance to defeat Namibia by 130 runs in a warm-up match ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup on Friday.

Led by Ayush Badoni, India A won the toss and chose to bat first, posting an imposing total of 197 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.

After early setbacks that saw Priyansh Arya and Urvil Patel dismissed cheaply, India A steadied the innings through a crucial 111-run partnership between Naman Dhir and Riyan Parag. Dhir scored 39 off 29 balls, while Parag anchored the innings with a fluent 69 off 39 deliveries, striking five fours and six sixes.

The momentum continued in the latter half of the innings as Ashutosh Sharma played a brisk cameo of 35 off 21 balls. His aggressive stroke play ensured India A finished strongly, despite Namibia’s bowlers making some inroads. Max Heingo and Ruben Trumpelmann were the pick of the Namibian bowlers, claiming two wickets each.

In reply, Namibia’s batting lineup crumbled under relentless pressure from the Indian bowlers. The chase never gained momentum, with Dylan Leicher’s 22 being the highest individual score as wickets fell at regular intervals across the innings.

India A’s bowling attack was led by Mayank Yadav and Gurjanpreet Singh, who picked up two wickets each in economical spells. Ashok Sharma and Vipraj Nigam also contributed effectively, as Namibia were bowled out for just 67 runs in 12.1 overs, underlining India A’s dominance ahead of the global tournament.
