Jaideep Ahlawat has been riding high on success after featuring in some of the popular films and web series. He has been married to his Jyoti for many years.
In a recent interview, Jaideep revealed how his wife worked in a daily soap just to run the house when he was sitting idle at home. The actor also opened up about his love story and the first film he watched in a theatre.
Jaideep Ahlawat praises wife Jyoti
Jaideep Ahlawat, in an interview with Lallantop, revealed that his wife Jyoti helped him run the house when he had no work. He said, “She only did one show, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain starring Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, because I was not working at that time. She worked in only one show for 4 months just for money to run the house. After I got work, she left the show and decided to be a homemaker.”
When asked about his love story, Jaideep Ahlawat stated, “I met Jyoti when I was doing a PG during my theatre days. Jyoti and my friend Alkesh were batchmates in MSc Mass Comm. I met her there. I finished my MA in English literature. Then, I joined FTII. I wanted to first gain some training before joining FTII.”

“Hence, I joined Mass Comm. I was a junior of Alkesh and Jyoti. After spending three months, I went to FTII. In FTII, Jyoti was my junior. I was initially attracted to her. Eventually, I fell in love with her. We had a lot of common topics to speak with each other about. She didn’t pursue her career in acting,” he added.
Jaideep Ahlawat received a lot of love for his dance moves in The Jewel Thief song. When asked if he ever danced at his wedding, the actor said, “I danced at my wedding for some time. I didn’t have enough time during my wedding. My wedding happened while I was shooting for my first film.”
Jaideep Ahlawat also confessed that he developed his love for films because of his elder sister. He watched the Juhi Chawla and Rishi Kapoor-starrer Bol Radha Bol in theatre. He stated, “My elder sister would narrate the film stories with background music after watching them in theatres. When my sister watched Bol Radha Bol, she described to me everything about it. So, I remember getting excited to watch it in theatres after hearing everything about it.”
