Swiss MP Niklaus Gugger met Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and discussed industrial development, clean energy, technical training and tourism cooperation. Both sides agreed to expand opportunities for green technology, investment and cultural exchange.
Mr. Niklaus Samuel Gugger, Member of the Parliament (National Council) of Switzerland paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at Samatva Bhawan located at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday. In this meeting, important topics like industrial development, energy conservation, technical cooperation and sustainable development were discussed in detail.
Industrial Development MP: Talks on industrial development, energy conservation and technical cooperation
Swiss MP Mr. Gugger discussed with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav the possibilities of cooperation in the field of clean energy technologies, precision manufacturing and digital solutions for energy efficiency. He said that Madhya Pradesh can take advantage of Switzerland’s expertise in the field of industrial automation and sustainable technology. He also suggested inviting Swiss parliamentary representatives to Madhya Pradesh for policy exchange related to climate governance and industrial change.
Clean Energy Collaboration: Possibilities of renewable energy, technical training and research collaboration
On the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Mr. Gugar talked about the possible participation of the Swiss private sector in initiatives related to climate and sustainability in Madhya Pradesh. He also expressed his desire to cooperate in technical training programs for the youth in the field of renewable energy and advanced manufacturing. Apart from this, there was also discussion on exploring possibilities of joint initiatives with Swiss universities for research on green technology.
Eco Tourism MP: Madhya Pradesh promoted as heritage and eco tourism destination
Shri Gugar suggested that Madhya Pradesh be presented as a heritage and eco tourism destination for Swiss citizens. This will increase tourism and strengthen cultural ties between the people of both the regions. He also stressed the possibilities of cultural exchange programmes.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav appreciated the suggestions of Mr. Gugar and said that the Madhya Pradesh government is ready for all possible cooperation. He expressed confidence that this type of international cooperation will play an important role in the industrial development, environmental protection and technological advancement of the state.
