Four members of a family from Karnataka were found hanging in Dharamshala in Rajgir, Bihar. The room of this family who came on January 30 was closed for 3 days. Police have sent the bodies for postmortem and formed a SIT for investigation.

Nalanda: Four people of the same family from Gubbi taluk of Tumkuru district were found hanging in a dharamshala in Rajgir in Bihar’s Nalanda district on Friday. The deceased were identified as mother G.R. Sumangala (78), son of G.R. Nagaprasad (50) and his two daughters G.R. Shilpa (48) and G.R. She has been born as Shruta (43). It is revealed that Sumangala was the wife of Ratnabala Raju. Several documents including mobile phones, Aadhar cards, PAN cards, ATM cards, ₹1,18,000 cash and a large quantity of sleeping pills have been recovered from the deceased.

Rajgir is a very sacred pilgrimage site for people of Buddhist and Jain religion. All four had come to Rajgir on January 30 after visiting Nepal and had booked a room. All the bodies have been sent to Sadar Hospital of Bihar Sharif in Nalanda district for postmortem. A medical board will conduct the postmortem with videography. Nalanda Superintendent of Police has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the case from every angle. In this connection, a team of two members has been sent to Gubbi in Karnataka.
