Bengal Weather Update: IMD Issues Yellow Alert Of Heavy Rain In Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Light Rain Across State | Check 7-Day Forecast

Bengal Weather Update: West Bengal is set to witness continued rainfall for a few days at least. The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre in Alipore has issued a yellow alert of heavy rainfall at isolated places in north Bengal’s Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar on Saturday.

For the rest of the state, both north and south Bengal, the weather department has issued an alert for light to moderate rainfall on Saturday.

June 22: Due to the southwest monsoon, the rainfall occurrence will persist across the state. On June 22 (Sunday), light to moderate rainfall will lash the entire state. However, the entire south Bengal, including Kolkata, Howrah, and Purulia, among others, will be under a yellow alert of thunderstorms and gusty winds.

In North Bengal, Darjeeling, Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Kalimpong, and Jalpaiguri will be under a yellow alert of heavy rainfall at isolated places.

June 23: The weather conditions are likely to deteriorate on June 23 (Monday), as the weather department has issued an orange alert of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Kalimpong, along with a yellow alert of heavy rainfall for North and South Dinajpur, and Malda.

Across South Bengal, light to moderate rain with a yellow alert for thunderstorms and gusty winds has been issued by the IMD.

June 24: On June 24 (Tuesday), the south Bengal weather conditions will remain similar to the previous day, while in north Bengal, light to moderate rain is predicted with no significant warning.

June 25: Similar conditions will prevail in North Bengal on June 25 (Wednesday). South Bengal will receive light rainfall with heavy rainfall at isolated places in Howrah, Hooghly, South 24 Parganas, East Medinipur, West Medinipur, Jhargram, Purulia and Bankura.

June 26, 27: On June 26 and 27, the conditions across Bengal will remain the same as the previous day, except West Bardhaman, which will get heavy rainfall at isolated places.
