Bihar Development: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary made a big announcement on Sunday. CM said that new cities will be established at 12 places in the state. Announced to name the new township to be built in Muzaffarpur as ‘Tirhut’.
Muzaffarpur: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Sunday said that the state government has decided to develop new townships at about 12 places in Bihar, which includes Muzaffarpur. During this, CM Choudhary also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 982 development projects worth Rs 1,047.09 crore in Muzaffarpur. The Chief Minister announced that the new township to be built in Muzaffarpur will be named ‘Tirhut’.
What will be special in the new cities of Bihar?
- CM Chaudhary said that the government is working on giving a new look to the old cities by improving the infrastructure like drains, roads, water supply, parks, community centers and pucca houses for the poor. Along with this, there is also focus on developing new cities with necessary facilities.
- Addressing the gathering in Muzaffarpur, the Bihar Chief Minister said, “It takes time to improve an old city, be it drains, streets, water supply, parks, community centers or building pucca houses for the poor; work is going on on all these fronts. The Bihar government is working for you. Along with this, we have decided to develop new townships at about 12 places in Bihar; Muzaffarpur. There is also a place where our government is working to establish a new township named ‘Tirhut’.”
- The CM said, “Now we are starting to establish new cities at 12 places, in which attention is being paid to essential facilities like providing electricity and water to every house. The Prime Minister and Nitish Kumar have taken this work forward.”
Bihar government will give special fund to women for business
- CM Choudhary said that the state government will provide financial assistance for employment opportunities to women under ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana’ and will ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out.
- He also said that the government is working to strengthen the education infrastructure by setting up model schools, degree colleges and coaching centers in government schools across the state.
- CM Chaudhary said, “We will provide funds for employment to women under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana… We have already transferred the money to the accounts of our sisters. Those sisters who may have been left out, we will ensure that they are also included. Today we are proud of our heritage and are committed to taking it forward. We are setting up model schools and degree colleges.”
- He further said, “All these facilities are being arranged. The government is working on many initiatives, be it setting up degree colleges, building model schools, or setting up coaching centers within our government schools; we are making arrangements for all these.” (ANI)
