New Delhi: Delhi is set to see mainly clear skies over the next seven days, with mist and shallow fog during night and early morning hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per the IMD forecast issued on February 6, the national capital’s maximum temperature will range between 23 degrees C and 25 degrees C, while the minimum temperature is expected to stay between 9 degrees C and 11 degrees C during the period. “Mainly clear sky. Strong surface winds (15–25 kmph) during the day. Mist during morning hours,” IMD said in its latest weather bulletin.
On Friday, dense to very dense fog was reported at a few locations in Uttarakhand, while isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh also experienced foggy conditions. Gusty winds were observed at isolated places in Uttarakhand. The lowest minimum temperature across the plains of northwest India was recorded at 3.8 degrees C in Nagaur and Fatehpur (Sikar) in Rajasthan.
According to IMD, minimum temperatures are likely to remain largely unchanged over the next four days, followed by a rise of 2–4°C thereafter across the region.
