What is the 1995 land dispute case all about?
Patna SP City Bhanu Pratap Singh said that this case was registered under the old IPC (Indian Penal Code), which has now been changed to BNS (Indian Judicial Code). The MP was to appear in the court, but he did not reach the court on the scheduled date. After this the police arrested him. The case is linked to Gardnibagh police station and involves sections 419, 420, 468, 448, 506 and 120B. In this case, there are allegations that Pappu Yadav had done some wrong deeds regarding the land, for which the trial was going on in the court. He was absent from the court due to which the trial was pending. The MP also faces charges of fraud, theft, intimidation and conspiracy.
