Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [भारत]July 12 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the 11th meeting of the Interpol Digital Forensics Expert Group (DFEG) at the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Gandhinagar on July 13 (Monday).

Hosting this global forum for the second time after 2022, NFSU is setting a milestone in advancing forensic science and criminal investigation. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and NFSU Vice Chancellor J.M. Vyas will be present. During this, representatives of 47 countries as well as senior officials of law enforcement agencies will also be present.

Shah will unveil three centers of excellence

The event will also feature an exhibition of cutting-edge technologies from more than 30 global companies including Google (USA), Cellbright (Israel) and Amped (Italy). Shah will also unveil three Centers of Excellence: AI-powered Financial Crime Investigations, India’s first Media Forensics Center to train journalists in forensic reporting, and Crime Scene Management. Along with this, Asia’s first Cyber ​​Forensic Investigation Van, built under the ‘Make-in-India’ initiative, will also be unveiled to collect evidence on the spot.
