Zubeen Bharucha told that in the year 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi used to play more shots on the on side but in one year he also developed shots on the off side. Zubeen Bharucha said, ‘It is very important to increase the batting range to overcome the weakness of batting at higher levels. The interesting thing is that in the last one year, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has not made any significant change in his batting routine, he is batting almost the same number of balls as before, but the difference this year from last year is that his confidence has increased manifold.
Work done on Suryavanshi’s bat speed
Zubeen Bharucha told that before the start of IPL 2025, the coaches had worked on his bat speed. He told that in the trial in which Suryavanshi participated, his bat speed was not the fastest in the group. This thing was recognized and work was done on it for three months. Suryavanshi’s bat speed improved by 30 percent.

Zubeen Bharucha said that Suryavanshi is performing amazingly at the moment but obviously there will be ups and downs in his life too. There will be a lot of noise about failure but Bharucha said that after Sachin, he has not seen any young boy batting so cleanly. Bharucha said that Suryavanshi’s thinking is like Sachin. Suryavanshi’s style is different but his understanding is very high at a young age.
