FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Jamal Musiala scores Hat-Trick as Bayern Munich feast over Auckland City with Record Victory

Bayern Munich decimated Auckland City with a devastating 10-0 win in their FIFA Club World Cup 2025 opener on Sunday (June 15).

The German giants massacred the New Zealand outfit across the 90 minutes at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati to record the biggest win in the history of the competition.

Jamal Musiala scored a hat-trick while Michel Olise and Kingsley Coman had a brace each in the match.

The German giants asserted control early, with Kingsley Coman forging history as the tournament’s first-ever goalscorer in the 4th minute, heading in from a Jonathan Tah assist delivered by Joshua Kimmich. From there, Bayern never let up. Sacha Boey doubled the lead in the 18th minute via a Coman assist, before Michael Olise struck twice-o nce in the 20th minute and again in stoppage time before half time as the Bavarians led 6-0 at the break.

After that, it was the Jamal Musiala show in the second half. Musiala came off the bench to net a splendid long-range goal in the 67th and convert a penalty in the 73rd, bringing the final score to 8-0. He then completed his hattrick with a mistake from the Auckland keeper, before Muller completed the scoreline with the 10th goal of the day.

Bayern have gone at the top of Group C with the win and will now face Boca Juniors in their next Group stage match on June 20. Auckland, on the other hand, will face Portuguese club Benfica in their next encounter.
