Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel recently said that women should focus on becoming “expert mothers” before pursuing careers as IAS officers or teachers.
Her remarks, made during the convocation ceremony at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), have sparked a major debate online. While many have criticised the advice given to young women, Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has weighed in. Reacting to the viral video, she shared her views on the matter in an X post. According to the Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata actress, nurturing is not something women need to learn, as it is part of their true nature.
Kangana Ranaut REACTS To UP Governor’s Remark
said that when she was a child, her brother used to play football and cricket while she preferred building doll houses, stitching clothes for her dolls and pretending to cook for them. Much to everyone’s amusement, she recalled making small clay stoves at home and playing the role of a doll’s mother.
She added, “It is not something that we need to learn. God has bestowed upon us the duty of nurturing humanity; it is our true nature. That’s why women are called Devi, Shakti, Annapurna, Mata and many more such forms, but beyond all that, it is such a joy to love, to feed, to dance and to nurture”
