Political analyst and war journalist Wael Awwad said that the attack on another ship in Oman shows that the US is not respecting the peace deal with Iran. In an interview given to ANI, Awwad said that the Iranians are attacking because America is not respecting the peace agreement.
He said, “Just another ship has been attacked and this gives you a clear indication that the Americans are increasing the level of attack on Iran. There is no question of them respecting the agreement made with the Iranians and that is why the Iranians are attacking all the ships which are using the other route created by the Americans. The Americans are also violating the instructions given by Iran that any ship should take consent before passing through the Strait of Hormuz. So there is no end to this tension.”
He further said, “Let’s look at the bigger picture. The bigger picture is that Israel is pushing the United States into a full-scale war. There have also been attacks on Iranian cities by the Israelis and there is also talk that there is a question of escalating the attack on Iran to the point that a full-scale war would break out because Israel has two objectives that have not been achieved – removing Iran as a regional power and completely blocking the Strait of Hormuz so that oil can flow through Israel. There is a question of creating a separate corridor. And I believe that it will take more time to achieve these objectives and we are looking at a long war in this region.”

US-UAE retaliatory action
The US military launched a third round of strikes against Iran on Saturday in response to an Iranian attack on a container ship in the Strait of Hormuz, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).
