Arsenal are looking for recruits as the Gunners are dwelling in the transfer market actively, looking to bring in some key targets in the summer.
The Gunners have been linked with a few names already, with Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi being named as an advanced deal. They are also in talks with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko, as the lanky striker is their prime target.
The current transfer window will close on June 10, and Arsenal are not expected to close a deal right now. But the North London club is being tipped to make acquisitions when the window opens again on June 17. Although the aforementioned names are being tipped to join, the North London club’s first signing is likely to be someone else.
As per The Athletic, Arsenal are in the final stages of sealing a deal with Chelsea for Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Spaniard is Mikel Arteta’s top target as the deputy role to David Raya, and the former Real Madrid goalkeeper is interested in joining them.
Arrizabalaga has a £5 million release clause in his Chelsea contract, which was inserted before he joined Bournemouth on loan for the 2024-25 season. As part of that agreement, his deal was extended by a year-now running until June 2026-and his salary was significantly reduced. It is unconfirmed if the North London club will activate the release clause or reach an agreement with the Blues at a lower price.
Kepa moved to Chelsea from Athletic Club in 2018 for £71.6 million. He has made 163 appearances for the club and won four major trophies.
After a quiet 2023-24 season on loan at Real Madrid, where he played only 20 times, Kepa became Bournemouth’s first-choice goalkeeper the following year. With Neto joining Arsenal on loan, Kepa took over and impressed, keeping nine clean sheets in 35 games for Bournemouth.
