Former Australian captain Michael Clarke has made predictions for the T20 World Cup. He has selected India, Australia, New Zealand and England for the semi-finals. Clarke considers India as favorite and expects an India-Australia dream final.
Mumbai: There are only a few hours left for the T20 World Cup to start. Meanwhile, former Australia captain and World Cup winner Michael Clarke has predicted the teams that will reach the semi-finals. Clarke predicts that India, Australia, New Zealand and England will reach the semi-finals. He also said that he is looking forward to a dream final between India and Australia.
In an interview to RevSportz, Clarke said, “I wish that India and Australia meet in the final. Right now, the best T20 team in the world is India and they are my favourite. Because of the emotional connection, I want Australia to reach the final.”
Clarke expressed hope that England and New Zealand will also perform well in the World Cup. He further said that he was disappointed with England’s poor performance in the Ashes series, but felt that they would bounce back strongly under Brendon McCullum.

I think the England team will change the situation. Even though there are a lot of pressures on them right now, I hope they will reach the semi-finals. Clarke also made it clear that in Asian conditions, defending champions India have a better chance of winning the World Cup.
