WPL 2026 Final DC vs RCB: RCB Lift Second WPL Title; Mandhana-Voll Power Historic Win

Royal Challengers Bengaluru clinched their second Women’s Premier League title with a dramatic six-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2026 final on Sunday, successfully chasing down a record target of 204 runs at a packed venue in Vadodara.

Led from the front by captain Smriti Mandhana, RCB produced one of the most memorable run chases in the tournament’s history. Mandhana smashed a breathtaking 87 off just 41 balls, displaying a mix of power, timing, and composure under pressure as Bengaluru kept pace with a steep required run rate throughout the innings.

The chase was anchored by a historic 165-run partnership between Mandhana and Georgia Voll, which proved decisive in dismantling the Delhi Capitals bowling attack. Voll played a crucial supporting role with a fluent 79, rotating strike effectively and punishing loose deliveries as the duo kept the scoreboard ticking. Their stand is now the highest partnership in a WPL final and among the best in league history.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals had put up a formidable total of 203 for 5, setting the highest target ever chased in a WPL final. Despite disciplined spells from the Capitals’ bowlers in the early overs, the lack of breakthroughs during Mandhana and Voll’s partnership shifted the momentum firmly in RCB’s favor.

While the night belonged to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, it was another painful chapter for Delhi Capitals, who suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in a WPL final after falling short in the 2023, 2024, and 2025 editions as well. For RCB, however, the victory reaffirmed their status as a powerhouse in women’s cricket, highlighting their resilience, leadership, and ability to deliver on the biggest stage.
