A woman has accused a Flipkart delivery agent of sexual harassment in Marathahalli, Bengaluru. After the complaint, the police has arrested the accused Vijay Mallikarjuna Kamath. Police have registered the case and started further legal proceedings.
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [भारत]July 12 (ANI): A delivery agent of an e-commerce platform has been arrested after a woman complained of alleged sexual harassment in Bengaluru’s Marathahalli area, police said. The accused has been identified as Vijay Mallikarjuna Kamath.
Police registered the case
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), White Field, Bengaluru, the arrest was made on the basis of a complaint lodged by a woman. “A case has been registered at the Marathahalli police station following a complaint lodged by Nilofar Fathima accusing a Flipkart delivery agent, identified as Vijay Mallikarjuna Kamath, of sexual harassment. Based on her complaint, the police have registered case number 345/2026 under sections 75, 79 and 329(2) of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS),” he said in a statement.
Police said he has been arrested and further legal proceedings have been initiated. More details are awaited. (ANI)
