Char Pahar Puja Time (Mahashivratri 2026 Char Pahar Ki Puja Time)
On the day of Mahashivratri, the first hour of worship will be done from 06 pm to 09 pm. The puja of the second half will be done from 09 to 12 at night. The worship of the third hour will be done from 12 to 03 in the night. The puja of the fourth hour will be from 03 to 6 in the morning.
Mahashivratri Puja Vidhi
On the day of Mahashivratri, wake up before sunrise and take bath by mixing Ganga water. Wear white or yellow colored clothes for worship. Then take a pledge to fast in front of Lord Shiva with water, Akshat and flowers in your hand. Then first offer water to Shivling. After this offer milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar. Then offer pure water or Ganga water.
Then offer Bilva Patra with three leaves by saying ‘Om Namah Shivay’. Also offer Dhatura fruit, flowers and hemp to Mahadev. Apply white sandalwood tilak. Offer unbroken rice. Offer Aak, Kaner or white flowers. Light a lamp of cow ghee. Offer seasonal fruits and white sweets. Chant the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivay’ during the puja. Read Shiv Chalisa. Finally complete the puja by performing aarti with camphor and lamp.
