Famous TV actor Ram Kapoor shared a very private and painful secret related to his life in the reality show ‘Lock Up Season 2’. For the first time, he surprised his fans by revealing this on the national platform. He told that when he was studying in boarding school, he was sexually abused.
To avoid eviction, Ram Kapoor had to tell a secret. This star of ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ revealed the secret which only he and his wife Gautami knew about. She told that when she was 13 years old, she was sexually abused in boarding school.
‘He touched me on the bed and I went into trauma’
Sharing the story of that day, he said, ‘We all were having fun and enjoyment in our room. I was on the bed and someone 15 years my senior was also there. He touched me inside the bed and I was shaken deeply. I didn’t know what to do, because there were 40 children around. I remained silent for some time out of fear, shame and thinking about how to deal with it, but then I told her that I was not feeling good.
The one who gave you pain took you out of it.
Ram Kapoor further said, ‘After hearing this, the senior left me and got up and said sorry. I had gone into trauma, but could not tell this to anyone. But you will be surprised to know that the person who did this to me was the one who took care of me. He said sorry to me again and again. Then he became my good friend. He is the one who brought me out of that trauma.
No one knows this except wife Gautami
Ram Kapoor became emotional and said that he kept this pain suppressed within him for so many years. Apart from his wife Gautami Kapoor, no one was aware of this incident. He told that it was a very difficult decision for him to bring this secret to the world, but he felt that it was important to talk openly on such issues.
