Released on January 23, 2026, Border 2 opened to mixed critical responses but found strong audience support, particularly during the Republic Day weekend. The makers smartly positioned the release around the national holiday, which helped the film gain massive early momentum. However, from day 11 onwards, the collections have shown a consistent downward trend.
Border 2 box office collection Day 13
According to Sacnilk, Border 2 earned Rs 4 crore on its second Wednesday, which marked day 13 of its theatrical run. With this, the film’s total net collection in India now stands at Rs 290.75 crore. While the daily numbers have softened, the film remains firmly on track to cross the Rs 300 crore milestone in the coming days.
On the global front, the numbers remain impressive. The worldwide box office collection of Border 2 has reached Rs 397.25 crore, placing it just a step away from the coveted Rs 400 crore club. Given the film’s performance so far, trade analysts expect it to breach that mark soon, even if the pace remains gradual.

Occupancy figures reflect the same trend. On February 4, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 8.83 per cent, indicating reduced footfall during working days.
More about Border 2
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 revisits the 1971 India–Pakistan War but expands its scope. Unlike the original, the sequel highlights stories from multiple battlefronts, including the Army, Navy and Air Force. The film is co-produced by Nidhi Dutta, daughter of filmmaker J.P. Dutta, who directed the 1997 classic.
The ensemble cast also includes Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, with Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana and Anya Singh in key roles. Despite the slowdown, Border 2 remains one of the biggest Bollywood successes of the year so far.
