Why did Deepak Kumar call himself “Mohammed Deepak”?
This was the moment that changed the whole story. Deepak identified himself as “Mohammed Deepak”. In the conversation he said that this name came to his mind automatically. His only aim was that he should be seen as an Indian citizen and not on the basis of any religious identity. Deepak clearly said, “I am neither a Hindu, nor a Muslim, nor a Sikh, nor a Christian – I am just a human being.” He believes that the greatest religion is humanity and after death only the deeds of a person are recognized.
