Pakistani Intruder Shot Dead By BSF Troops Along International Border In Gujarat’s Banaskantha

Banaskantha: The Border Security Force (BSF)) on Saturday neutralised a Pakistani intruder along the International Border (IB) in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district.

BSF personnel spotted a suspicious movement of a person on the night of May 23.

Despite giving the warning, the Pakistani intruder continued to advance. “BSF troops spotted one suspicious person advancing towards the border fence after crossing the International Border. They challenged the intruder, but he continued to advance, prompting them to open fire. The intruder was neutralised on the spot,” the force said in a statement.

The identity of the intruder is not yet ascertained.

Earlier, during the India-Pakistan’s military conflict, a Pakistani intruder in Punjab’s Firozpur sector on May 8. Notably, the border states, including Punjab, GUjarat and Rajasthan were on high-alert in the wake of rising tensions with Pakistan post Operation Sindoor carried out by the Indian Armed Forces targeting nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
