In Mau district of Uttar Pradesh, the city Kotwali police arrested the CO on Friday evening. The news of the CO’s arrest created a stir in the police department. City Kotwali police has arrested a fake CO.
Prabhat Pandey, a resident of Siddharth Nagar district, dressed as a retired inspector father and became a fake CO and reached Mau district to meet his girlfriend.
Local people called the police
Prabhat Pandey, who came to meet his girlfriend posing as a fake CO, has been arrested by the Mau city Kotwali police. Prabhat Pandey, who became CO, was threatening people by asking for the address of his girlfriend’s house. Meanwhile, when people became suspicious, they informed the police.
Father retired a few days ago
During police interrogation, it was revealed that Prabhat Pandey, who became the fake CO, is a resident of Siddharth Nagar and his father had retired from the post of Inspector in UP Police in 2025 and he has carried out such incidents many times. Presently he was living with his father in Varanasi.
He was threateningly asking for the address of the girl.
Regarding the incident, local people say that when we got suspicious due to his conversation and behaviour, we informed the police and the Kotwali police took him in their vehicle to the Kotwali and are investigating him. In the whole matter, city Kotwal Anil Singh says that Prabhat Pandey has been detained. They are being interrogated. It has been learned that he was living in Varanasi and just a few days ago his father had retired from the post of police department officer and has reached Mau in search of his girlfriend and he is being interrogated.
