Maverick Viñales motivated to shine at Silverstone: ‘It will be interesting to see what we can do there with KTM’

Maverick Viñales heads to the British Grand Prix full of confidence after one of his strongest weekends of the season in Le Mans.

The Spanish Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider claimed two fifth-place finishes in both the sprint and main race, showcasing consistency and control in challenging conditions.

‘We are heading to Silverstone, a track that I have always enjoyed, so it will be interesting to see what we can do there with the KTM’, said Viñales. The Spaniard’s adaptation to the RC16 has become more and more evident in recent rounds, and the team believes he’s on the right path to closing in on the leaders.

‘Le Mans was crazy in many ways, but it was a very solid weekend for us on all plans – in qualifying, sprint, race and in different track conditions!’, he explained. This consistency further boosts the morale of both rider and team.

‘We are feeling better and better every race weekend, and the goal is to keep the momentum going, continue working hard all together as a team, and I am confident that we will get closer and closer to the top guys’, the Spaniard emphasized.

Viñales concluded with a smile: ‘Let’s see how it goes this week in Silverstone. The weather is always tricky there, but I guess we had a bit of training last week in France!’
