Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed India’s precision strikes at their key airbases as part of Operation Sindoor in the early hours of May 7 in what is the first such video of him talking about the recent four-day escalation.
Addressing a ceremony held at the Pakistan Monument on Friday, Sharif said that he was woken up at 2:30 am by Army Chief General Asim Munir, moments after the Indian operation began.
“General Munir called me personally at 2:30 in the morning to inform me about the strikes. It was a moment of grave concern,” Sharif told reporters in Islamabad.
Amit Malviya, the head of the BJP’s National IT Department, sharing the video on X, described the event as a testament to the boldness and efficiency of Operation Sindoor.
“Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif himself admits that General Asim Munir called him at 2:30 a.m. to inform him that India had bombed Nur Khan Air Base and several other locations. Let that sink in — the Prime Minister was woken up in the middle of the night with news of strikes deep inside Pakistan. This speaks volumes about the scale, precision, and boldness of “Operation Sindoor,” Malviya wrote.
