Suniel Shetty is surely on cloud nine, as the apple of his eyes, his daughter, Athiya Shetty, gave birth to a baby girl on March 24, 2025. Athiya and KL Rahul are cute parents to Evaarah, and surely for Suniel, his mornings to evenings begin with looking after his granddaughter.
Suniel, who has millions of fans now, is a hands-on grandfather. He recently shared about his first feeling when he saw the infant, Evaarah.
Suniel Shetty shares how he felt when he first saw his granddaughter
Suniel, who is fit as a fiddle, ensures that his fitness is in check and likes to work out every day. Athiya and KL Rahul in March had announced that they were blessed with a baby girl, and ever since then, Suniel has constantly devoted his attention to little Evaarah. During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, when Suniel was asked about his feelings when he first saw his granddaughter, he said:
“Don’t ask, first time last evening, this morning also, the feeling is the same. I never thought life would go beyond your own children. For me Ahan and Athiya mean the world to me, I mean, and now another one comes, so enjoying all that.”
When Suniel Shetty shared that he had to be fit to play with his granddaughter
Earlier, in an interview with the ETimes, Suniel revealed that he focused on abs training and did not resort to anabolic steroids for fitness. He shared that he is 60-plus and the only reason he trains his abs is to make sure that he walks straight. Suniel also shared that he believed in the motto of working out every day. This is because the adrenaline rush that takes place after a workout is pure bliss. He also revealed being excited about workouts, coming back home to his wife, Mana.

“I don’t hunch, and I don’t drag my feet. Tomorrow I’ll be able to play with my grandchild without having to take a break every two seconds, because the child’s energy is going to be different.”
Suniel, going ahead in the interview, had also shared that during the next leg of the dance reality show, Dance Deewane, he would be on the sets with his granddaughter. He had made the futuristic prediction when a special episode related to grandparents took place. Suniel had shared that when the new season arrives, he would be on the stage walking like a nana. It seems like it became true.

And I’m proud of that.
