Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has personally paid for 30 of the MUFC backroom staff to take their families and friends to the Europa League final.
Not only that, United’s stars are unhappy after they were offered just two tickets per player for the summit clash against Tottenham in Bilbao. What makes matters worse is that they cannot celebrate with the players incase United beat Spurs because the return flight from Santander leaves at 2.15 AM.According to a report in the Daily Mail, the support staff who travel with United, including kit men, have also been denied complimentary tickets for family and friends.This happened after the club told his coaches, physios and support team that they would have to pay for their own tickets for Man United vs Spurs, reported ESPN.Forcing Amorim to pay from his pockets is not a good omen for the Red Devils, especially after the Portuguese recently opined that he might step aside as manager if United take their poor league form from the end of this season into the next campaign.”If we are not scared of losing a game as Manchester United and don’t have that fear anymore, it is the most dangerous thing a big club can have.””Everybody here has to think seriously about a lot of things,” said Amorim.”Everybody is thinking about the [Europa League] final. The final is not the issue. We have bigger things to think about.”I’m talking about myself and the culture in the club and the culture in the team. We need to change that.”If we start like this, if the feeling is still here, we should give the space to different people,” Amorim already warned.
