India are all set to take on England in a five-match Test series. This will mark the beginning of a new era, especially after the back-to-back Test retirements of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
Some people might be given debut call-up in this series as well. In pace-friendly conditions in England, India would be looking for a plethora of fast bowling options. There were rumours of Arshdeep Singh getting called up. However, reports indicate that a 24-year-old CSK star might be getting his first call-up.According to a report by The Indian Express, there is an outside chance that Anshul Kamboj might be picked as the additional seamer in the side. Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah are surely in the squad. However, they aren’t expected to play all the five Tests. Hence, Harshit Rana and Prasidh Krishna might be used as rotation options. The selectors are also considering Anshul Kamboj. This is because Kamboj can move the ball both ways, which might be handy in English conditions in the early summer, where the pitches are still suited to batting, and not that conducive to pace yet.
