Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated ‘Uttar Pradesh Pharma Conclave 1.0’, a mega gathering of global investors and entrepreneurs organized at Hotel Taj. He said that today Uttar Pradesh is not just a state but has become a guarantee of confidence for investors. The Chief Minister said that the state government gives full guarantee of Triple-S model – Safety, Stability and Speed to every investor. Uttar Pradesh has today emerged as a role model of trust, transformation and timely delivery.
Rule of Law in UP: Rule of law, zero tolerance policy
CM Yogi said that today the rule of law is firmly implemented in Uttar Pradesh. No one is allowed to play with the law. Whoever challenges the law, the law responds in his own language. This is the new Uttar Pradesh, where the system is not weak but decisive and effective.
Situation of UP before 2017: Chaos, insecurity and mistrust
Recalling the situation before 2017, the Chief Minister said that at that time Uttar Pradesh had become a symbol of insecurity and anarchy. More than 900 riots took place in the state between 2012 and 2017. There is hardly any city where curfew is not imposed. People associated with industry, trade and medical fields had to pay goonda tax. Due to lack of security, established industries were forced to leave the state and the youth was migrating. This pain was a common pain of every investor, businessman and citizen.
Zero Tolerance Policy: Investors regain confidence in law and order
CM Yogi said that after being handed over this responsibility by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the first priority was to improve law and order and restore trust. The government adopted a zero tolerance policy and made it clear that the law would apply equally to all. Today the results are visible – major festivals and events are being held peacefully. There are no riots anywhere, no ransom anywhere and no goonda tax anywhere. An environment of peace, security and stability has been created in Uttar Pradesh, which is the strongest foundation for investment.
Ease of Doing Business UP: Number one in de-regulation
The Chief Minister said that today Uttar Pradesh is number one in the country in de-regulation ranking and has become the top achiever in ease of doing business. Under de-criminalization, criminal provisions have been removed from 13 state acts. Those investing in MSME sector have been exempted from inspection for 1000 days. The aim of the government is not to scare the industries, but to provide them facilities.
UP Industrial Growth: Journey from 14 thousand to 30 thousand factories
The Chief Minister said that before 2017, there were about 14,000 factories in the state, which has increased to more than 30,000 today. So far investment proposals worth Rs 50 lakh crore have been received. Of these, ground breaking has been done on proposals worth Rs 20 lakh crore and production has started in many projects. There is constant communication between the government and investors.
UP Pharma Hub: Pharma sector is being made a global center
CM Yogi said that work is being done with a clear policy and strong vision to make Uttar Pradesh a pharmaceutical manufacturing and innovation hub. The bulk drug pharma park being developed at Lalitpur will be based on a hub-and-spoke model, with state-of-the-art R&D facilities. Medical device park, US-FDA testing lab and world-class logistics hub are being developed in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Steps will be taken towards a world-class pharma institute in Lucknow through the budget session in the second week of February. New pharma parks will also be developed in other districts including Bareilly.
Infrastructure Growth UP: From Local to Global
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has presented the model of local to global through One District One Product (ODOP). Uttar Pradesh has a share in 55% of mobile manufacturing and 60% of electronic component production in the country. About 55% of the country’s expressways are in UP. Every district headquarters is connected to four lanes. Better rail network, maximum metro services and 16 functional airports, including 4 international. Noida International Airport will soon be dedicated to the nation.
Investor Support in UP: Full confidence of the government
Chief Minister Yogi assured the investors that the Uttar Pradesh government stands with them in every situation. Zero political interference, transparent policies and timely incentive distribution are ensured here. Uttar Pradesh is no longer a sick state but a revenue surplus state and is ready to play a leading role in the goal of a developed India.
Viksit Bharat Vision: Focus on Pharma, Med-Tech and Health-Tech
The Chief Minister said that the Pharma Conclave is part of the resolve to make Uttar Pradesh a pharma manufacturing and innovation hub. AI, telemedicine, deep-tech, med-tech, health-tech and clinical research are being promoted.
JP Nadda Statement: UP will become global pharma manufacturing hub
Union Health Minister JP Nadda said in a video message that Uttar Pradesh is strengthening India’s global leadership capability in the pharma and healthcare sector. Lalitpur Bulk Drug Park, Medical Device Park and Pharma Policy-2023 are making UP a global manufacturing hub.
